This Dilbert comic pretty much sums up what happened with Hedge funds as they relate to our market crash. I wouldn't be surprised to see much less Hedge funding, or even see Hedge funds disappear completely when all's said and done.

Sadly, I enable this behavior and it is true. The only straight answer I got from a hedge fund trader concerning what he did to better society .....
answer: "I provide equity in the market"
blah..... that was me throwing up.
